Leadership Team Development Program

Connected Leaders

Build a strong pipeline of leaders who lead with clarity, intention and confidence in 60 days. Support your leaders to build the confidence to show up, lead through others, and get results.

The Challenge

Are your leaders working harder but not creating more capacity?

Many organisations invest heavily in developing their people, yet leadership teams still face the same pressure points.

Capable leaders carrying too much

Leaders are working hard but still carrying too much of the work themselves.

Issues escalating upward

Problems aren't being resolved at the right level.

Dependency on key people

Performance relies too heavily on a small number of leaders.

Growing leadership load

Leadership responsibility increases without a corresponding lift in capability or results.

This isn’t a lack of effort or care. It’s a sign that leaders haven’t been supported to make the shift from creating value through their own effort to creating value through others.

Who This Program Is Perfect For

Connected Leaders is designed for organisations where leadership capability exists, but leadership leverage has yet to be realised.

This program is designed for organisations where leaders:

Are technically strong but haven't fully transitioned from doing the work to leading through others.

Want leaders who think beyond their own function and contribute to broader organisational priorities.

Carry too much operational responsibility because ownership and decision-making remain with the leader.

Are investing in leadership capability before growth, complexity or change outpace their leaders.

The Journey

The Connected Leadership Journey

Five stages that reflect how leadership behaviour either constrains or multiplies performance.

1. Disharmony

Performance feels harder than it should. Trust is fragile, conversations are avoided, and uncertainty grows. Energy is spent managing tension instead of creating progress, causing culture and performance to gradually erode under pressure.

People are working hard, but leadership remains focused on individual contribution rather than collective performance. Roles and expectations are often unclear, causing duplicated effort, inconsistent decisions and leaders becoming the bottleneck.

This is the turning point. Leaders recognise what’s limiting performance and begin shifting from creating value through their own effort to creating value through others. With greater clarity comes better choices, stronger habits and more intentional leadership.

Leaders consistently create value through others rather than carrying the work
themselves. Trust, clarity and ownership become part of everyday leadership, enabling teams to solve problems, make decisions and perform with confidence and less reliance on the leader.

Leadership becomes a genuine organisational capability. Leaders are
connected to one another, aligned around purpose and strategic direction, and work together to strengthen performance across the organisation. Leadership is no longer dependent on individual leaders, it becomes embedded in the way the organisation thinks, collaborates and performs.

Translate Effort Into Organisational Value

How can leaders translate effort into organisational value?

The Sandpit Strategy diagram illustrating 4 steps to leadership leverage and 10x organizational impact: Enabling, Responsive, Trust, and Impact

From Busy to
Enabling

When leaders focus their time and energy where they add the greatest volume, they create capacity for others to take ownership, make decisions, and deliver results

From Reactive to Responsive

By leading with intention rather than habit, leaders make better decisions, strengthen ownership, and create healthier, more productive working relationships.

From Tension to
Trust

Leaders build stronger relationships and greater capability for productivity within their team, especially when there is trust.

From Effort to
Impact

When leaders collaborate across boundaries with purpose and strategy, they bring in sustainable results that help the organisation avoid problems in the long-run.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this program designed for?

Connected Leaders is designed for leadership teams, particularly people leaders, emerging senior leaders and leaders transitioning from individual contribution to creating value through others. It’s especially valuable for organisations experiencing growth, increasing complexity or a desire to build stronger leadership capability.

The diagnostic takes around 15 minutes to complete. Workshop duration varies by pathway, with coaching (60 minutes) and integration sessions (1/2 Day). Workplace application occurs through simple leadership experiments integrated into normal work rather than additional assignments.

Connected Leaders can be delivered face-to-face (recommended) or virtually. Workshops are delivered as either a full day or two half-day virtual sessions, with coaching and support delivered online to maximise flexibility and participation.

Because sustainable organisational performance is created through consistent leadership behaviours, not isolated leadership capability. Developing leaders together creates a shared language, stronger alignment and greater organisational impact.

We use a pre- and post-program The Performance Conversation System diagnostic to track changes in team trust, leadership confidence, and alignment. These results are included in your Impact Report and help shape ongoing leadership actions.

Yes. Every program begins with a design phase to understand your organisation, leadership challenges and desired outcomes. Examples, workplace experiments and coaching discussions are tailored to your context.

Success is measured through pre- and post-program diagnostics, participant feedback and leadership impact discussions. Together these provide evidence of shifts in leadership behaviour, confidence, ownership and organisational impact.

We’ll work with you to onboard new participants where needed and adapt group coaching calls to ensure continuity.

Absolutely. Many organisations begin with Kickstart or Essentials before extending into additional coaching or advanced leadership development. Every extension builds on the progress already made.
